Web 3.0 vs Web 2.0

--

Web 2 is the internet as we know it presently. It was marked by making the internet a lot more interactive and this was the foundation that enabled startups like Google, Facebook to be built.

Web 3 is the upcoming type of internet, according to Wikipedia, it is an idea for a new iteration of the World Wide Web based on blockchain technology, which incorporates concepts including decentralization and token-based economics.

The major difference between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 is the great improvement in user experience with improvements in areas such as connectivity, ubiquity, etc. Users now have more control of their data and as such are protected against things such as data theft.
